I heard you speak at Bob Proctor's Matrixx in May 2010, and it really made an impact on me. You told us the Allison story, which I've also listened to on your CD. The passion that comes through in that story is just amazing. When I heard it at the Matrixx, you brought tears to my eyes. This was followed up by breaking through a plank. I was the last person out of about 50 people to break through. I had to try 3 times, but I made it, ironically breaking through my fear of failure. I can still see your eyes as I broke through - the complete focus that made me focused as well.
It's been a year and a half. I'm now starting out as a speaker myself. The book I was talking about writing when I was at the Matrixx has been written and published, and now I'm working on my career as a professional speaker. I know it will be a challenge, but I'm eager to begin.
I wanted to let you know the impact that your presentation had on me. You showed me not only my own strength, but where my doubts led me astray. As I begin a new career in public speaking, I hope to have the same impact on other people that you had on me. I'm incredibly glad that you were able to come and speak. Your message was just what I needed to hear.
